Music has always been a powerful force in my life. It can make me laugh, cry, remember the boy who broke my heart, and call my mom.
It can also remind me that I kick ass.
I have a playlist on my iPhone called “SE Boost”. It’s my own little self esteem pick me up that I carry with me always.
What songs do I use to get my groove back?
F**kin’ Perfect – Pink
Who You Are – Jessie J
Hate On Me – Jill Scott
Shine – Anna Nalick
Who Says – Selena Gomez
I didn’t say I had great taste in music (or particularly discerning taste.)
What songs amp up your moxie?

Magnificent by U2. Or Beautiful Day. Really, anything by U2. They pick me up when nothing else will . . .
And Jill Scott!? Awesome . . .

Also love the Pink. Hadn’t really given her much of a listen, as she’s not my style really, until Maggie used it for the Year Two video for Violence Unsilenced, of which I was a part. Went out and bought her Greatest Hits CD that day and it has been the driving soundtrack when the family takes a road trip since that day . . .

Dood – do great minds think alike or what? Feel good music is the basis of the post I’m working on to submit this week (for next week’s publishing). You have great songs on your list.

Ah… Now I have some new music to check out!
Dog Days are Over–Florence & the Machine
These are Days–10,000 Maniacs
Beautiful Day–U2
Sitting on Top of the World–Amanda Marshall
Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da–The Beatles
Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In–either the Hair Soundtrack or The 5th Dimension.
This is awesome – thanks for this! Now to revise my playlist to make it a bit more high self esteem and a bit less angsty…
