Drop Some Love

OK, so every month we get together and pick a cause – an issue, if you will – and we focus on a few different ways we can help make that issue less of a bad thing and more of a non-issue.

This month we’re going to do things a little differently.

This month we’re going to talk about what is basically the Aiming Low of charities – Love Drop. In fact, they aren’t even a real charity, because paperwork is a pain in the butt. True story.

(OK, fine, they have some other reasons for not being a charity, but we’re pretty sure it was the paperwork that made up their minds.)

What they are is a micro-giving network. What the heck is a micro-giving network?

Basically, it’s a group of people that get together every month and pick one person or family to help. These people pool their resources – $1 to $10 per month, or maybe a blog post or two promoting the effort – and they turn their little gifts into one big gift for a person who needs something good to happen.

That’s it.

OK, fine, that’s not it. Check out their website to get way more info.

And come back here next week to find out how we happen to hear about it and one super cool thing that one of our writers got to participate in.

About Aiming Low Does Good

Aiming Low Does Good shines a spotlight each month on causes that deserve attention and people who need help. We’ll give you some ideas of how you can help, either with your money, time or talents. We’ll also show you how to get involved in your own communities and how to spread the word.
