HP EZPZ – Keeping your pet sitter honest.

As resident dog expert* here at Aiming Low I’d like to take this opportunity to remind you that summer vacations are coming up and if you haven’t done so yet you really need to start looking for a trustworthy sitter for Fido.  And for Sir Swipes-a-lot the Cat.  Probably Niblet, the incredible escaping hamster, too.

If you’re like me, you invite a person into your home to take care of your four-legged children while you’re off chasing the two-legged ones down some long, crowded beach somewhere.  This year instead of hastily scribbling instructions for the care and well-being of your pet as you’re stuffing the back of your car with suitcases and sand toys, do yourself and your sitter a favor and take an extra five seconds the day before to write down all the important information any sitter worth their salt will need when caring for your precious pooch.

But Tania, you are no doubt saying to yourself, WHAT information should I leave for the pet sitter?  I always seem to forget something.  Can you help me, oh wise one?

First, you’re much too kind but also very accurate with your praise, and two…  Yes, with the help of HP.  Yes I can.

Head on over to the handy dandy HP Creative Studio for Home. Under Themes & Occasions select Pets & Animals.

Then click on the Pets icon.  That will lead you to this lovely page chock full of lots of fun ideas for crafts and such to do with pets.

Choose the (free!) Pet Sitting Form…

… print it out on your spiffy HP printer, fill it in and voila!  Piece of mind.  Your pet sitter will have no excuse not to give He-Who-Never-Stops-Shedding his special treat or act like she didn’t know where to bring him for emergency care when he found a not-so-special treat in the backyard and began violently vomiting it up all over your house.

Ah pets.  They bring such happiness to our lives.

*A title I’ve given myself.  Let’s take it with a grain of salt, shall we?

About ChickyBaby

Tania - wife, mother of two girls, dog trainer of the non-whispering variety, and Nutella lover extraordinaire - has been blogging since 2005 at Chicky Chicky Baby but is slowly letting that blog slide into oblivion while she tries to reinvent herself with a new blog (Coming Soon!). Reinvention is hard work, so in the meantime you can find her at Culture Brats, on Twitter (@ChickyBaby) and here. Of course.

  1. I have been an active Petsitter for almost ten years. I found this form many years ago and have used it for almost all my jobs. It is great to give this form to the owner upon meeting them. I tell them to take their time filling it out and to put down anything and everything they would want me to know while they are away. I tell them to write on the back, add extra paper… I keep the forms in a folder after my job and if I care for the animals again I ask the owner if anything has changed. Thank you for recommending this Pet Sitter Form.
