Listen to your life.

There are days like today when everything I lay eyes on inspires the ever loving shit out of me.

It’s like God is placing all this amazingness in front of my face.

I’m just a wee bit excited & thankful about a lot of things that are happening.

I’m stretching myself & learning with open ears & remaining teachable.

I am bold & hopeful.

Please excuse me while I get all cheesy on you here. I guess I’m not always about vaginas & farts.

Although I really do love talking about vaginas & farts. And vagina farts.

I just can’t deny this thing stirring within me. This freedom that comes with not giving a shit about what other people think about what I create or type. I’m allowing myself to fully emerge. Faults, farts, hopes, dreams & all.

It feels really good to let my balls hang out. They needed to breathe.

I owe a lot of this surge of unbridled optimism to those who have encouraged me throughout my life. You know those people. The ones who make you feel good about yourself. The ones who gently push you with their sweet words as well as giving the gift of well-placed constructive criticism.

In a world full of cynics & shit heads, that kind of nurturing is something I value.

Everyone needs encouragement.

Whether it be your child or your sister, your trash man or the freaking President of the United States.

We all benefit from having someone cheer us on. But the kind of cheerleaders who are more about the “Go! Fight! Win!’ & less about midriff shirts & herkies.

(In case you wondered, you probably weren’t but I’m going to tell you anyway- I was a cheerleader in high school. It was only for one year though. I didn’t make the squad the next year because my grades were very sucky. It wasn’t for a lack of enthusiasm or semi-amazing dance skillz. I’m not still depressed about that at all).

I guess what I really want to say to you is this: don’t be afraid to be yourself.

Move towards those things that you love.

Give space to your passions.

And if you haven’t found out what that is yet, look around. What do you spend a lot of brain power thinking about or dreaming about?

Start a list. Ask a friend.

If you still have no friggin’ clue, be patient with yourself. You can’t force it. And it also doesn’t have to be profound or life altering.

But it can be if you let it.

  9. Hiding or pretending to be someone else is a big waste of time and space. Been there, done that. I’m owning it and not caring what others think. It’s a big weight off me.

Love the phrase “give space to your passions”. I have a couple of teens that could learn from that.

  11. When we allow ourselves to be truly vulnerable and share our innermost selves with the world, that’s when we can finally REALLY feel the beauty of the world. It’s a win/win.

    Love this!

  15. You got me at hanging balls to breath.

I thought maybe I need that too and then I’ll have it air-dried and preserved…just so I remember having balls when I forget.
