Cheez Doodles: the Perfect Dietary Aid

Let me say, without shame or embarrassment, that I. Love. Food. If I were blessed with a slightly slower metabolism, I would be quite a bit … fluffier. Fluffier and damn happy because seriously people, this world we live in? It is CHOCK FULL of delectable treats.

It’s hard to pick, but one of my top favorite foods would have to be Cheez Doodles. Not just any cheese curl; I don’t want your crappy Jax or silly curly puffy Cheetos. No sir, I want Cheez Doodles and after you read this I bet you will, too.

You see, recently my husband has begun a quest: to lose 60 lbs before the next BlogHer (my darling man not only supports my blogging but actually wants to attend BlogHer with me. Am I lucky or what?). I married this guy, and also I can’t cook for beans, so guess what? I am dieting too.

It isn’t so bad during the day at the office where I am surrounded by enough idiots who can’t turn on their computers without a little hand-holding that I don’t even have a chance to think of food. Evenings and weekends are a huge pain in my ass though. What else can I do while sitting on the couch avoiding housework if I am not stuffing my face? Apparently nothing, which is why I have completed more home cleaning and organization projects in the last month than I care to admit.

When I DO get a chance to sit down and watch an episode of my new obsession (Big Bang Theory; I fucking love their theme song!) I like to have a snack. Enter my old friend: Cheez Doodles.

Apparently, a serving of Cheez Doodles is a whopping twenty-three pieces! That’s a decent serving size and, because they are so poofy, they fill up my bowl with their pleasing faux-cheese orangey goodness to the brim. Not only that, a serving is a surprising 180 calories.

So each night before I settle down onto the sofa I dutifully count out 23 Cheez Doodles, pour a glass of wine or diet Coke, and enjoy a little mind numbing TV with hubby, guilt free!

I have lost 8 lbs and it fucking rocks.

Oh that would be a big bowl of orangey airy goodness wouldn’t it? I myself am partial to the crunchy ones but I’m also evil and I used to love feeding the airy ones to my cat to watch them get stuck to her tongue and face. *g*

ps – I don’t think I would have ever come up with wine as a complement to Cheez Doodles but wine and cheez is wine and cheese!

Sadly they do not sell Cheese Doodles where I live, WTF is up with that?

Also I too love The Big Bang Theory theme song, enough that it’s my ringtone.

I got seriously ill on cheese doodles when I was young, so I tend to avoid them. But I DO love BBT! I only discovered it a year ago, though, so I’ve gone back to watch from the beginning with netflix…

      Oh noes!

I discovered Big Ban Theory about three weeks ago.. and caught up on all 6 seasons last Saturday after obsessively watching everything. Now I have to watch the season the SLOW way. It’s tragic.

Awesome info!! Now do cheese doodles cancel things out, like say Paula Deen’s brown sugar chewies I just ate 1/2 a pan of??

  7. My name is Julia and I have never had a Cheese Doodle.

    23. Wow. That’s really a lot. Much more bang for your buck than 9 Cool Ranch Doritos. Like I could stop at 9 Cool Ranches.

I’m so jealous of American snacks and confectionary. UK snacks actually BLOW by comparison. My FIL is moving back to England, from Arkansas, this year, I wonder if I could convince him to use packets of Cheez Doodles as packing for his delicate items?!

Also, the BBT theme tune? I love it, but I’ve deveoped a bit of an OCD relationship with it. My husband knows not to fast forward through the credits anymore as I HAVE to mouth all the words along with the song. I’ve even been known to rewind it if I miss a word…:-/

Yeah–the Cheez Doodle diet is good in theory, but I would eat the entire bag+ drink the whole bottle of wine, and wake up dehydrated with orange fingers and purple teeth.

I now have a guest visiting me named peri fucking menapause. She won’t leave as much as I have tried. so I am watching what I eat now and hating it.
