Have you ever wondered what to do with the hotel card keys that you never return or the many discount shopping cards you get but never use because you have the small key chain version?
Wonder no more.
Keep one in your car for those days in which your husband takes your ice scraper out of your car because he couldn’t find his, and you find yourself suddenly missing the scraper that is always in there.
You don’t live somewhere where you need an ice scraper, even if it’s just one day a year?
You are dead to me.
I keep my hotel key in the door of my van so it’s handy anytime I need it. You know after I had it several other places and my husband kept trying to throw it away because “Seriously, why do you keep an old hotel key card in your van?”
One word of advice: make sure you wear gloves when you use your awesome new ice scrapper! Because if not your fingers will be cold and wet, trust me.

Thanks. You just saved my debit card’s life.
You are very welcome!

Hmm… I just use one of the plastic cups my kids leave littered throughout the back seat of the van.

I wish I lived somewhere where a hotel key would work! I’ve actually lost the ice-biting teeth off my scraper trying to dig through to my windows.
Messing with my icescraper is like flirting with death. *g*

Did I mention that I turn the car on long before I start to scrape. Also, this isn’t an all winter long trick….but in a pinch it works!

Ice scraper? For what? In case someone throws a slurpee on your windshield?
I live deep in Southern California, but I still have an ice scraper in my truck from when I lived in a place with weather. I haven’t used it in 7 years, but I always know exactly where it is.

I use empty CD cases. Once the CD is loaded on my iPod, I have no use really for the CD’s or the cases, and the cases make AMAZING ice scrapers.

Don’t yell at me. I live in Florida and have for the past few years – so I haven’t had to scrape ice in some time.. BUT. Before this fantastic life I used to use CD cases.. I mean, good thing I live in Florida now, cause who the hell has CD cases in their car anymore?
I heart palm trees.
