Dochi represents the princes and princesses that are our children (the crown) and the protection with which we would like to provide them as long and as much as we possibly can (the spines along the back of the porcupine).
We were the proud recipients of hat/glove/scarf sets from Dochi. We experienced their many different style and had different weather conditions to try them out.
Aiming Low is very proud to offer it’s readers a special this weekend of 50% off $125 or more plus free shipping when you use the words HOLIDAYS2010. You can always take advantage of the Aiming Low discount of 25% and our partnership to benefit the Christopher Reeves Foundation with 10% of every purchase with the words AIMINGLOW25.

I had Dochi deliver sets that all my kids could try. GA has fairly chilly winters without the bitter cold of the far north. The hats and scarves were perfectly weather appropriate for the GA weather. The COOLEST part when Rachael’s gloves came. They were made so the fingertips slid off when they needed finger mobility. They attached to the backs so they were always there when needed. The only downside is I have son, who is 12 about to turn 13. The sizes are 7-12 and the gloves didn’t come close to fitting. When you take durability, style, comfort, kids happiness, we give it 4 cups out of 5.

The Pompalicious Luxe Pretty Pink set, a thick and beautifully patterned set, is just gorgeous right out of the box. The material has a lovely sheen to it and my daughter was head over heels in love with the softness and warmth of it. She’s extremely sensitive and finicky about scratchy fabrics, so the high quality of the fabric used was a definite plus. We don’t use the set often given that we live in a warmer climate, just on the way to school and maybe on the playground for twenty minutes or so. So, I have to say that it was a little disappointing that after just a day or two of wear, one of the pom poms on my daughter’s mitten fell off on the car ride on the way to school. I was able to restitch it with ease, however, as I said, I found that a little disappointing.
Also, the hat is starting to fray a little at the inner seam. Though I find the set warm, made of wonderful material as well as beautifully designed, I’m not entirely pleased with its construction, particularly when the retail price is considered. My son has been wearing the Toasty Ear Toddler set in purple and it looks absolutely adorable on him. The construction is sturdy and the ties are short enough to be safe, but sturdy enough that he can’t pull it off. I’m pleased with the texture, construction, warmth and functionality of that set completely.

I’ve got just one word to describe Dochi’s winter hat, scarves and gloves – CUTE. Also, adorable, soft, comfy, warm, stylish and did I mention cute? The gloves and mittens, while not exactly tough enough to stand up to some full on winter in New England snowstorm play, are perfect for the school yard, running around town and maybe even a little snowball tossing but the hats and scarves will take them from 40 degrees to 5 degrees no problem. I’ve got two tomboyish girls who believe that even princesses should play rough like the boys and these winter sets more than cover all the bases.
I give them 5 cups out of 5!

I was lucky enough to test out two glove/mitten sets for little girls from dochi, and let me just say that I’ve been converted. I used to be one of those moms that would forget to buy hats and mittens and scarves until the first really cold day of winter, and then we’d stop at the grocery store and grab whatever they had on that rack up front. Never again! In fact I’ll bet these sets will last a couple years.
We tried the Toasty Ear Toddler for my 2 year old, and Heidi Stripes in pink/lavender for my 4 year old. After about 2 weeks of heavy use (we live in New England, and it’s hit below freezing a few mornings already), I can say that the warm chenille of the Toasty Toddler set (and sturdy construction) are perfect for chilly mornings. The cute mittens held up to many morning breakfasts, including a banana and cheese doodles – any staining came right out in the washing machine. The Heidi set is a knit, but the hat and mittens are lined with a warm and cozy fleece. Both hats have ear flaps, which at first I thought were misaligned but it turned out I was putting the hats on backwards. Ooops. This set was also made well – we snagged a scarf on a wooden stake outside our apartment and I was sure the knit would have a hole in it, but there was hardly a dent.

(Ding Dong) A little brown box arrives.
My 5 year old quickly started ripping and pulling away the box tape thinking that “of course this is for me!”.
Inside he found a little bundle of snuggle. The colors are exactly what the picture looked like online and was a perfect match to my son’s eyes.
As you may already know here in Florida we don’t have much of winter or even much fall like weather but we do love to wear festive clothes. The gloves, scarf and hat are durable ( thank u VERY much) and comfortable (What a plus!)
These are a must for my family. When I asked my son “so, how do you like it?” . He replied with “I really really do, like a lot.
So in the words of my son “I love these like 100!!!”
Fantastic stocking stuffer – 4 cups!
