A letter from the Editors.

First.

Before anything else.

Thank you.

THANK YOU.

It isn’t a post we ever wanted to write.  It isn’t a post we know how to write.   No words seem strong enough.

The support, the love, then generosity you have shown our dear friend, our sister, YOUR sister, Anissa, and her family, has been amazing.

Laughing and crying with you, and the amazing posts you have written in her honor, have gotten us through long nights of sadness, worry, and loneliness.  If you haven’t had a chance to go through them, we urge you to.

Every inch of this site has been touched by Anissa.  Every piece of text is a piece of her heart.

This site is her dream, it’s part of her soul.

We would be lying if we told you we knew exactly what to do next.  We feel the eyes on us.

How can we be present and laughing here, when our hearts are far away in a Georgia hospital?

Because we have to.

For Anissa.

To honor her and her tireless labor creating this site.

So, we will.

Slow at first, but making our way, and we hope you all stick around for the ride.

Because in the midst of all this uncertainty right now, one thing we know for sure.

When Anissa wakes up, and this site has gone to pot?

She will kick all our asses.

-Brittany & Janet

Get to it – she’s one strong gal and she’ll be back before you know it!

I’d kick your asses too if you let this place go to crap. LOL. But you are doing a great job just continuing on and I applaud you for that. I was aiming low in honor of Anissa today and did a whole post on Twilight Parenting, complete w/ examples and I even argued my points to my own grandma. That should put some piss in a few righteous ass sniffer’s Cheerios!

Petra Wise blogged about the plight of Anissa and her family. I hope her husband will get in touch with the United Way. In many locations, it’s just a simple matter of dialing 211 on the phone. Or navigate to http://www.liveunited.org/ and enter the zip code. The folks there can determine the needs of Anissa and her family and provide help.

I hope everything turns out fine. Blessings.

I heard about Anissa on The Kitchen Witch blog. I will keep a candle lit for Anissa tomorrow during the day. I am sending my thoughts and positive energy her way, to her family’s way. I will be praying she gets well soon! She is an inspiration!

You are absolutely right. She would kick your asses! Keep up the great work. She will be proud and happy to see you’ve kept it up. You guys are strong. I think about Anissa and her family constantly these days. Can’t help but think it could be any of us. Strength & kudos to you guys also! This is not aiming low – this is rising to the top.

I have never been to your site before but I discovered it at Yahoo’s Shine when I read about Anissa’s recent stroke. I am so sorry to hear about this. I wish her, her family and her friends strength and hope to make it through this ordeal.
