Six-Second Abs?

allisunglasses1I can’t be bothered with 8 minute abs, 7 minute abs or even 6 minute abs.

Lately I’ve been trying to incorporate a few sit-ups and lunges to go along with my running regime.

I can already hear all of you bitches screaming about how running and lunges and any mention of ab workouts does not qualify as Aiming Low.

But, here’s the thing.

I. Can. Not. Do. It.

While I can certainly Aim High and make myself run a half marathon or two, I can not be bothered to do one fucking sit-up or string together five lunges.

That doesn’t stop me from bemoaning the state of my non-six pack to Laef.

Me: “I really need to firm up my assular and tummy regions. I am totally going to stop eating cheese and drinking wine during the week.”

Laef: “Why don’t you do core work? I can show you some exercises.”

Me: “UGH.”

Laef: “You will spend 2 and a half hours running, but you won’t spend 5 minutes doing sit-ups?”

Exactly.

Which is why I am totally going to continue to eat cheese and invent a six-second ab routine that will make me look like Gwen Stefani.

    Ha! I’m right there with you. I even have an exercise ball, you know for the kids entertainment. Because the be story that that thing was going to make sit ups easier is a total line of shit.

    I do them while I am watching TV. It makes me feel a little better about the fact that I watch too many shows. ;)

    That’s where we differ- we both like to use the word fuck, but I can’t run! I can do abs and lunges and such til the cows come home! I cannot run- which makes me sad because runners are much skinnier than me!

    If it came down to not drinking wine or start doing sit ups… I don’t know which I’d choose… it’s like Sophie’s choice.

    Yes, 6 second abs would be nice. Please invent that now.

    I’m the exact opposite too! The absolute only time I can run is if I’m really, really, really angry. But even then the longest I can go is like 15 minutes. I just keep telling myself that in the long run running is bad for me anyway since I kinda like my knees and don’t want to have to replace them anytime soon.

    We’re polar opposites – I’d do crunches for 4 HOURS before I’d run down the block! LMAO!! Maybe we can do the workouts separately and share the results??

    Ok so the word lunges looks weird to me, like it’s plural to lung…and I keep pronouncing it in my head as lung-gees.
